You're comparing apples with oranges here. The Greens leader is talking about how new renewable capacity built now and in the future is cheaper than building new coal capacity. The prices you cite are based on the aggregate of all capacity built to date (i.e. decades-old, long-written-off coal plants vs. brand-new renewable generators built during the expensive, early learning phase of the industry.
