"The Set The Standard report, published in 2021 following Brittany Higgins's allegation she was raped in a ministers' office, recommended an Independent Parliamentary Standards Commission (IPSC) be established to investigate complaints about misconduct, as well as to recommend and hand out sanctions."
    abc loom.

the follow up to this is the new bill introduced today will hope to address the problems identified with the Commission which "will enforce behaviour codes for parliamentarians, their staff and other people who work in Commonwealth parliamentary workplaces. These codes set out expectations for behaviour, including requirements to foster respectful and inclusive workplaces, and a prohibition on bullying, harassment, sexual harassment and assault, and discrimination." (ibid)

    will it make a difference?

I imagine it'll result in more legal actions to challenge the authority. Party pollies are always right and they never do anything wrong.

after all they're such 'Honourable" people.
