The Islamic year is 1426. The culture, beliefs and behaviour are comparable with a similar date of the gregorian IMO.

The modern world pushes us together whereas only a few barbarians (so called pioneers) would of met back then.

I have lived in Riyadh; many want our lifestyle but only decades ago were straddling camels and sleeping in tents. European nations had challenged beliefs with science and our revolution was industry many decades before.

The world has moved fast but some cultures and beliefs have not. Let's hope it all aligns and tolerance becomes the norm. In this scenario there will still be trouble but the reasoning will change.
