I think this was not released to the ASX because it does not relate to their core activities. This is more a side project to support the mBaaS industry they were initially servicing prior to the "pivot" to IoT analytics.

It remains to be seen whether this is actually profit generating, or will be run at break even pricing to garner support from developers from the Parse community. It is like positive advertising for the company "Facebook is shutting down Parse, so we will run it instead."
If Facebook decides they don't need Parse staff, Buddy might be able to attract some top talent into their ranks. Dave seems to like to do things that make him more friends or contacts and in the long term, that will work to the advantage of Buddy. Now instead of Facebook/Parse copping flak from developers, Buddy has a hosted solution that will alleviate some concerns. Facebook/Parse are now supporters of Buddy and may return the favour in future.
