boiler dendreon have basically still got 100% of provenge by going it alone.i recently listened to the ceo speaking about how still owning 100% of provenge puts them in a strong position now as provenge enters the commercialisation stage.prr have the choive here to go alone, form a partnership or outright sell cvac.what is the best move.going alone puts the whole risk in prr's hands.a part partneship reduces the risk by the % of the partnership and an outright sale totally takes the risk from prr and its shareholders.im leaning to prr outright selling cvac for the right price.
what is the right price and why sell it.id say the best possible outcome for shareholders would be the outright sale.im talking about a figure over 300 million dollars here.firstly what would that do to the prr shareprice with 300 mill cash.at current shares on issue thats a cash backing of 85 cent.fully diluted with options its about 55 cent.im sure prr would then pay shareholders a dividend and use the rest of the cash to develop other earlier stage products and make acquisitions.why sell it?firstly it takes all the risk from the company and shareholders and secondly a bigger pharma would be able to get cvac to market much quicker which will benefit cancer sufferers.dont forget prr would also negotiate for a royalty with the sale.8%,10%,12%.similar to csl and cardisal.question is at what stage will a big pharma step up.as prr get closer they may decide that they can go it alone and become the next billion $ company so im tipping they need to move before to much interest is created.what is 300 mill for a pfizer to step in and join dendreon in the immuneotheropy market when as you say boiler they outlay 7 billion $ a year on research and development.
