"Fueled by low supply"... hang on a minute, are you suggesting that when demand outstrips supply, prices will increase? Mind = blown. I don't know why people aren't talking more about population in this space.
For comparison, the collectable luxury wristwatch market is going off right now. A rare Patek recently set a record at auction, selling for over $10m. Does anyone care about the exorbitant prices of these watches fueled by high demand and low supply? Should those who invest in wristwatches be punished if they don't wear them? Should news.com.au run a story on these leaches on society every week, calling for changes to the level of tax they pay? Are you constantly feeling aggrieved because you can't afford a luxury timepiece to wear?
