Airplanes no longer have an excuse for not providing emergency parachutes because of size constraints and saving costs. The modern day parachute is about the same size as a life jacket. Governments need to enforce it by law. it's no longer acceptable for passengers to sit around if planes are hijacked or driven to the ground by suicidal pilots.
