That's the thing, in advanced stages of PD the brain often damages itself when it goes into a hyperactive stage of "cleaning" the synapses. It literally eats itself.

Therefore, early intervention is not only very important, but from a clinical trial perspective, early onset patients have the most chance of a recovery to 'normal' if a treatment can be implemented before the synapses get eaten away. Ie. the treatment simply helps the brain sweep away the amyloid plaques to prevent a damaging hyperactivity 'eating' event!

The earlier onset these patients are, the better for this trial IMO
