By the looks of things it has been very quite at DataDot. Have investors lost their confidence or are they just resting their thoughts until the next explosive announcement?

It is an interesting post that you have made and although I haven't a clue (and no doubt many shareholders also) what any or all of the answers are to your questions, there always seems to be some lingering doubt about the long term objectives and intentions with this current management.

Back in October 2009, an ASX announcement trumpeted the deal that commercialises the DataTrace Technology to track and trace seeds, grain and other bulk commodities through a new special purpose vehicle called Agtechnix Pty Ltd.

Many posters got all excited about this, but some 8 months later there has not been even the slightest whimper about the progress until this article in the Weekly Times Now on June 7, 2010.

This article refers to 'microscopic and patented DataDot labels' which appears to be no more than a spin on the current DataDot product used by the car manufacturers. There is no reference to DataTraceDNA which seems a little odd considering the ASX announcement was all about the DataTraceDNA technology.

Are the Datadot labels being referred to as a microdot encapsulated in some form of glue compound or is it something else? Any one know?

I may have to give the journo the benefit of the doubt that maybe he got this all back to front or was misinformed, but like you, I question the transparency of the management, the validity of the allegedly held patents and whether any of these 'luxury brand clients" will ever contribute to decent revenue for the company.
