The Family Court of Australia and the whole family law industry is a joke and men cop it in the neck in 99% of cases. There should be compulsory mediation before people can appoint lawyers for only those cases that cannot be mediated. How the system can allow lawyers to rob people of their savings and cause conflict that affects children is beyond me.
Even in tough economic times, you have Court Registrars and Judges handing out inflated maintenance decisions without any regard to the real world or economic circumstances.
I would not hold a candle to a family lawyer as a parent or decent person.
