I think every analyst should be forced to publish their last 100 SP views, along with the date and the expected date.
IMO - you would be shocked at how often they are out by large margins.
If an analyst forecasts mining stocks and announces a 100% upside on say 30 stocks then they will be right for a few of them. Like the tipping sheets they always remind you of the winners. Just go back to the companies that have gone bust and see the glowing reports only a few months or a year before.
Some are very good, but a lot are paper pushers, just repeating what management has told them sometimes with little understanding of the industry or the finances. Many don't like to ask awkward questions in case they don't get the special invitation to the next closed briefing.
