Patersons Securities released a research note of 22 pages on 13 March 2012, following their recent site visits to Burkina Faso and Zambia, Zinc and IOCG projects. The note was entitled Spectacular Copper hits and high quality Zinc project. Patersons stated they are impressed with the suite of resources Blackthorn holds. Patersons previously had a speculative buy on Blackthorn however, this has now been upgraded to a buy with a base valuation of $1.92, a target price of $2.30 and an expanded valuation of $2.69.
