Hello disgruntled hotcopperites,

i've been thinking about GAU and the timing issue. I then thought, why don't I play the devils advocate and think about the glass half full from a timing perspective.

if the reports of a corporate deal(s) are correct, then it can take min 3months to get a deal over the line, once you negotiate with a purchaser, get the legal document sorted and then get thet tax advisers to help structure the transaction/review it. this doesn't include then going to another 3rd party to try and get a better sale price.

i look at the stock GGG. it was in a 5month trading halt while the directors undertook an acquisition in greenland. the share rocketed from 25c to $2 once the coy came back on with the announcement. one could have been fustrated but when the reward for patience is a significant multiple, then who can complain in hindsight.

im comfortable IMO that GAU have platinum, im comfortable IMO that SLV have seen the results, I am comfortable that we do not know the results ie not announced and im comfortable IMO that the platinum may not be JORC. Im comfortable also with the timeline eg
july 16th announcement saying platinum results in a fortnight and company is considering potential corporate deals. that takes us into august with results. leaving only 2months to try and do a corporate deal. im comfortable with the current timing.

we must also remember the annual report is due for lodgement now, so auditors would have been a pain on GAU staff and directors.

im comfortable that the directors have not announced anything, though would be reassuring to hear something. but remember, they are not obliged unless its material and not confidential between parties. we have to keep this in perspective.
