I am really limited when it comes to my understanding of this technology... i should read through the white paper on the BGL website...
"i think" that wimax works best over extremely short distances; so best suited to offices; high density living (which the government is encouraging in Melb / NSW). So an apartment building is ideal.
Probably not suitable for distances over say 250metres as the signal would deteriorate too much.
Yeah... not just the porn... but also for downloading huge amounts of data, skype, youtube, music channels, online video...
Uni's have a disclaimer that networks only to be used for academic purposes and most do limit access if crazy amounts downloaded.
I am really limited when it comes to my understanding of this...
