In recent days, shorts appear to be responsible for controlling and depressing price by occupying certain % of volume. I still would like to know why CAJ has been more heavily shorted in most recent weeks compared to within a day or two after the negative news when taking short positions had a far more favorable risk-reward ratio. My conspiracy theory explanation is that some party is trying to break the company for their own motivation via shorting. The upcoming report is a risk for them regardless.
