Regarding the above security report kindly posted by TRKA on 27/01, I’d be grateful for anyone to advise on a newbie question regarding how to interpret the table.

Does the net value column represent overall more long than short positions for the period where figure is positive (top half of table) and overall more short than long positions where figure is negative (bottom half of table)?

Regarding CAJ half yearly report due soon, who gets first read? Do some insiders or related parties get prior read and ability to buy or sell, ahead of the herd? Or are company reports strictly confidential until released by ASX and first read by whomever gets fastest access to ASX server/s such as a broker having their server in close proximity to ASX server?

Do company prices start moving ahead of general release of company reports, to indicate that reports are being accessed by certain parties ahead of the general public?
