Because of the structure of the company as a Pooled Development Fund they are classed as a finance stock rather than a mining or technology company, therefore do not need to submit quarterly activities reports like those other companies are obliged to.

In terms of their review of activities in their half year and even their full year reports they tend to be very light on for details.

Hence the only updates tend to be the AGM presentation, and material disclosures when obligated to do so by the ASX. Or when they are seeking additional funds.

Of course the structure has another downside in regards to disclosure to the market and that relates to there being no in-house experts meaning practically everything of substance is out-sourced.

The Officer projects Lennis and Behemoth (formerly Ilkurlka) are overdue for some type of update in relation to the IP survey and drilling plans. I hope that SOR's decision to rename Ilkurlka is indicative of the potential of that "large, dense bodies of rock" and that we get an update on the IP survey shortly.

I guess with there being no in-house experts they need to do a lot of cross checking to confirm results and with the likes of the resources projects they need a contractor to sign off on the Experts Report which would crimp SOR somewhat in terms of timing being able to make announcements.

It makes them unaccountable I'm afraid - which is exactly what you don't want in a penny dreadful stock - this is trading at 3.1c today - it's almost back to all time lows. Says it all ! E.
