Steve Jobs lived with his pancreatic cancer for 20 years didn't he? Quite unusual.
Patrick Swayze also had pancreatic cancer, and died within 18 months, with no natural and alternative treatments, just the traditional therapies such as radiation, chemotherapy, pharmaceuticals.
Two years before his death Jobs had a liver transplant operation, followed by immune suppressant drugs. If one's immune system is suppressed and therefore not strong enough to attack the cancer, it will eventually attack every cell in your system.
So really, one could argue that it was the medical intervention that actually killed Steve Jobs. He certainly outlived many that have had the same prognosis, including those of who choose chemotherapy.
