    Hi Jamesshot

A few years ago, Santos board rejected a $6.88 takeover offer from an overseas private fund, but then decided later to raise capital at $3.85. Shareholders expressed their anger. Anybody who would buy Santos needed head read. So where were the “patriotic investors” at that time?

And you as a share holder see nothing wrong with your post? A few years ago when things were at their bleakest, the chairman did not inform the market and took it upon himself to reject the offer. At $6.88 a few year ago. Here we are now a few years down the track with the price of oil recovering, our Directors are entertaining an offer of $6.50. Don't come out with share on issue crap - it is a like to like offer- shares have replaced debt.
So if you had the funds to participate in the capital raising or bought in at sub 3, you are laughing and tell us that its only money and forget the patriotic dribble.
I would invite you as a share holder to grow some gonads and not take every thing directors throw at you.

    Pear
