So what if you called the Directors and the Directors said "x"

The directors also said that flow rates of 20mmcf were imminent for over 6 months of last year.

The Directors said company X was producing the Reserve report and company Y ended up doing it.

The Directors said the reserve report would be done last year, it was done this april.

The Directors said that they would have a larger reserve - its now smaller.

The directors said they would have enough cash, now they are looking for more.

Sure, some factors were out of their control - such as lower gas prices. But this doesnt change the fact that what they said would happen didnt. If they have been wrong on all of the above predictions and promises, why believe them now?
