In my opinion Michael Ruane has recognised that others are more skilled in "close negotiations" and things seemed to have worked out well for both RWD and the Martu.
The agreement with the Martu IS an excellent deal, providing long term income for them, it also provides the Martu with strong precedence in the future when dealing with other companies wishing to mine on their land.
All round win win IMHO
