For someone who had rarely put a foot wrong in maintaining his power , Putin has made some stupid mistakes in the last 3 years , but I find it hard to believe he was directly behind Alex's death , given it would show he feared a minor rival and would mean Putin would be looked at as uncontrollable in maintaining a semblance of logic .
World leaders will be thinking who next will Putin go after , maybe assassinate a European President- apart from Zelinski ? Putin's own inner circle would be looking at options if their own lives now look to be on the line , This killing has hurt Putin's reputation for strength rather than enhance it , so either Putin was stupid enough to do the killing , or Putin was unaware of it , in both cases its a negative for Putin .
