Perhaps you have made a point that reflects the lack of knowledge 8 years ago -
The presentation I posted above talks about the fact that immune response takes a longer time to show results - therefore the scientists have realised that they can not be rushed for results to fit the 'investors' time frame - rather look at the results within their correct parameters - with what we currently understand.
Almost a decade later is a long timeframe - during which the people that are running these trials are much more advanced and aware of the bigger picture -
Medicine advances quickly at some points and then takes a while to consolidate - there are many layers of medicine that people have probably no ability to grasp -
Most of us understand the risk that poor results can have to the SP - however in this case I see a management that are showing an aggressive move to consolidate and progress with all the competent scientists in their field.
