"Ma and pa" farmers built this country. Paul Howes and his mates want to destroy it. They resent the integrity, strength and independence of our farmers and the fact that they stand in the way of the globalisation of Australian agriculture.

The takeover of Graincorp by ADM was to be part of that process, hence the howls of outrage from the globalists. Virtually every journalist on The Australian newspaper sings from the same irrational hymn book regarding Graincorp-ADM. We already have the highest level of foreign ownership of our primary and secondary industry of any OECD country, but that won't satisfy the sellout crowd.

One only has to look how we failed to fully benefit from the resources boom, especially when compared with countries like Norway, to realise that the people who have been in charge of this country don't have our interests at heart.
