Buying in op shops is considered very stylish and many wealthy friends frequent them. My mother's old but beautiful tea set was rejected by Maling Road Antique shop except for a pittance for the entire set. So, I visit the local op shop with a cup, saucer and plate of the set, I have fun to see how long it takes before someone grabs it for $40, the going rate at present. Not many left now and they are very appreciative. A friend (who is well heeled) volunteers there. She dresses very well, often getting new clothes.....from the op shop. So eagle has much to learn.....
