Keating just repeated, .... that the polluters will be taxed, the taxes will go towards renewable energy programs, the people affected by higher charges will be compensated, .... but to my mind it cannot work that way if the polluters/emitters still get paid when they increase the cost of their electricity, etc., ... because then, the people will have the money to pay the bill and there will be little incentive to make technological changes to reduce their emissions.
.... whew !
I don't think Gillard or Combet or Swann can explain their CO2 Tax any better to us because, really they also don't understand the ramifications of what they are preparing to do.
