I think all you guys have covered it, more eloquently than I am going to.
In essence agree with all that these guys have covered off. For what it is worth have learnt plenty off all of them.
I would add that like many things in life I believe it is a journey though and not a destination. Been at this for a while now and am still always learning. Trading/investing is akin to an endurance sport. As much if not more time and effort goes into battling the mind as opposed to learning FA or TA or pushing buttons. You have to conquer yourself and that comes back to over time paying attention to your own feedback of what works for you.
For example I could never be a scalper/day trader for any period of time. Would stress me out wayyyy too much. But medium to long term FA based investing with some TA support has ended up my sweet spot.
I think it's also important to know what your learning style is. For me I hate formal education, or reading books etc. I would rather just do (with the acceptance that you're highly likely to screw up over and over) until you work it all out.
