Saltworks got $5 million from the Canadian government last July, through the same program that gave Prairie $1.2 million in 2023.

"In consideration of the entry into the Demo Agreement, Saltworks will also be issued a total of 2,500,000 share purchase warrants of EMP Metals exercisable at $0.35 per share for a period of five years." When the announcement was made last month, the share price rose briefly to 35 cents but is now back down to 28 cents. It is very lightly traded on the US OTC market (there are some shares in an account I help manage, but hope to sell this year).

Essentially, Saltworks is competing with Koch, right? But Koch can't compete for Canadian grants. And they're both in the chemistry business, it can't be all that difficult or secretive.
