Whilst the baying mob is demanding a referendum on the carbon tax, let's have one one on muslim immigration!!! What do you think the results on that one would be??? On the things that really matter to the common hordes,we don't really have a say due to the "don't rock the boat " mentality of bi-partisanship between the two major parties. Capital punishment,euthanasia,castration of child molesters,are all subjects that would be passed under a referendum. Lets face it , every couple of years two names go into a hat and some one gets lucky, but the real burgermeisters (the bureaucrats)keep their jobs.
