If I understand correctly, the attitude of the locals has changed over the last decades so I wouldn't be feeling stupid if you were invited to climb it some time back. However, the invitation has now been rescinded. Only an idiot of Pauline's proportions would be climbing now. I know I'd get a little upset if people started climbing all over my garden shed.
