You need to look at the normal death rates which according to 1 google search are over 3 million every year, then look at how many of those were fully attributable to covid, how many were somewhat due to covid and how many were just dying and happened to also have covid at the same time. You need to look at how extra deaths in one year might mean less deaths in the following year, and you need to look at the demographic of those who die, are they 18 year olds and middle aged in their prime or elderly which are on the way out - yes a young life is worth more than someone a few years out from their death bed.
