The man was a fraud and a simpleton and his cabinet were nearly all crooks and con-men. If you wanted anything in Queensland which the government had a say in then you usually had to be a member of the National Party to get it.

One Nation is the same, mostly con-artists out for themselves like David Oldfield.

I hated the Bjelke-Petersen regime and Queensland is a different place now they are gone. Remember his Nationals used to win government with 20% of the vote, while 80% of Queenslanders did not want them there.
