watso despises all this rubbish - so many events are opened with acknowledging the locals, then maybe a bit of a speech by some member .. and now increasingly it seems that smoking ceremonies need to be included … oh and of course a flag - they never had flags before .

naturally people just have to sit there in silence and suck it all up - but watso is confident that the majority are not remotely interested in the garbage.

and this silly talk about recognition in the constitution - once again total garbage... once there is the slightest bit of recognition that will open the door for legal fights to the high court, which will increasingly expand the scope of the powers associated with recognition.

the mabo decision in relation to land rights was fairly narrow .. but the door was opened and then that led to land right claims all over Australia .. as the courts expanded the scope of the original decision
