Many years ago , u couldn’t vote if u couldn’t understand what was given to u at the polling booth. If u were a resident of a goal u forego ur right to have a say!
I was a kid during these times and I acted as an interpreter for my parents to disperse info from all electoral parties.....at no expense to taxpayers.
Recently it has developed as an opportunity to become a business, to get to on a govt pay roll as an ethnic community representative.
