The global demand for talented financial executives seems to be shrinking quickly. In many cases it seems to be that the the greater the talent (or more highly paid in any case), the greater the losses.
Perhaps time Macquarie shareholders stood up for themselves and forced management to cut the obscene salaries these guys pay themselves. Times have changed and there's plenty of unemployed investment bankers who could screw up the company's share price just as quickly, for a lot less money.
If they did this I may buy some shares.
