Even a fence-sitter like me has been noticing some very strange comments lately written/spoken by so-called "journalists"

For example, from Skol's article is this piece of wisdom ...

No, Paulson seems to be a true believer, who really does think that the Fed's expansionary monetary policy will create massive inflation and debase the dollar.

Here we have the "journalist", downplaying the openly stated policy of many central banks especially Japan) of debasing currency and creating inflation. The US Fed has a policy of avoiding deflation (creating inflation) and dollar debasement as a beneficial side-effect.
