Job Keeper alone cost $90 billion dollars. Had Australia never locked down and covid spread through at the same rate of the UK (1500 odd death per million) we would have had about 37500 deaths. let’s say 50,000
Instead of lockdowns, we could have paid the families left behind $1,800,000 Each. Now add in all the other schemes, lockdown payments and we start to really balloon in costs.
This Sydney lockdown is shutting 1/3 of the economy and we are again paying out money.for what???
we should end lockdowns, and use the money to adequately compensate the families of the deceased and GET ON WITH OUR LIVES!!! .
Now before anyone loses their minds, go and check your life insurance. How much will your family get. if I die at work, my wife will get about $800,000 and apparently this is adequate..
