Obviously not geographically connected but the common point is the age and regional structuring that creates the pathways for hydrothermal fluids.
The old timers at Mt Isa didn’t have the technology to grasp this and the same can be said for those working the copper triangle in the southern Grawler Craton. Unfortunately as they worked out the deposits many smaller deposits couldn’t be later classified. The boffins at WMC took the punt that the geology that created the copper triangle exists below the sediments of the Stuart shelf. The are areas even in the Stuart shelf under the salt lake that are still largely unexplored.
If the boffins in GA see the similarities and the potential and were rather quiet over certain aspects it does say a lot about what Inca sits on. Bring on the drilling.
