Tax minimisation is in everyones personal interest..ie why pay more tax than is legally required. Tax evasion on the other hand is entities not paying tax even though legally required to do so. In both instances the law maybe an ass...but until the law is changed tax minimisers will use every means to minimise their tax and so you/they should. There will always be tax evaders just as there will always be criminals. Free market types prefer lower tax regimes and that includes me. Whilst the left/socialist types want the achievers to be taxed more. Each to their own abilities and needs.
