I sold out earlier this year due to what I thought the POG might do and the way the goldies were trending. I am holding very very few goldies and have a lot of cash.
No way would I have expected to see EVR at $1.35 except in a GFC type situation. I just do not know what is going on. It could be some fundies that have to sell to pay off investors who want their money back.
I wonder if there is a Canadian or US share chat site where they discuss goldies. Perhaps they may know what is really going on, but I do not.
I thought the quarterly report was very good, except for the part where they took on more debt. That would indicate to me that there is may something wrong with their estimates of free cash flow which is needed to fund the Ivory Coast mine, and later Hounde. On the other hand the shares rose on the release of the latest quarterly report, so perhaps I have that wrong.
I am not aware of any issues with their Mali mine which is ramping up to 150k ounces pa.
Tempted to buy some EVR. However, if the POG weakens and falls below USD1520 then so will all the goldies, including EVR.
