    be careful of the wording. nowhere does it talk of a fully franked dividend in the announcement. if no franking then 45 day rule does not apply and you have different tax factors with capital returns or deferred tax depending on your tax status and your course of action regarding selling the units. mig rarely pays highly franked distributions.
    the payment was first announced 4 june. the share price was around 3.20 having advanced from under 2.80 a month prior. the amount of the payment was not announced but it was certainly speculated to be over 60c by the press.
    it was also speculated that the reason it was announced then was that macquarie bank would receive a huge performance fee if the price of mig averaged over a certain amount for the last part of june (i forget how many days). the price narrowly failed to make the required average.
    anyway thats how long the information has been generally available and whether it still has a lot of upside is your decision to make.
