I actually dont think this is doom and gloom at all! I see it as a positive.
The biggest e-comm player in the world has just created a competitor for the BNPL stocks, which only further legitimizes their products.
Sure this may cause some bleeding, but will be good in the long run. Zip, Szl, APT, Klarna and SPT have first mover advantages.
It comes down to positioning and marketing, which isnt Paypals strong suit. Yes its functional for PP to implement, but a different demographic i think.
