PayPal are a giant on the world stage with a MC of $225 billion and making money so comparing them to Australian companies misses the point this market place is starting to get crowded, more competitive and will get more regulated, this was always going to happen and in the end price will win and margins will get squeezed , they will take what they want and leave what they don't want they already have a huge network of accounts in most countries around the world so they are well set up to expand their products.
Time will tell who has little idea and what history be careful not to get wedded to the idea that APT is the be all to end all.
