Its not totally confined to PayPal, however I’ve never seen eftpos/cc or other BNPL companies as a threat. I also originally didn’t see PayPal announcement to the BNPL sector as a real threat either because I stopped using PayPal years ago. But after asking around it appears a lot of people I know use PayPal to pay for everything therefore they have a lot of trust in PayPal which makes me question if these customers see Afterpay and PayPal next to each other on checkout, both offering pay in 4, will they choose PayPal because of the long term trust that has been developed?

My concerns haven’t caused me to sell and I’m still a big believer in the company, however I will be monitoring this closely.
