I'll pay those arguments.
The only reason I can think of why PayPal is absorbing all the risk is they're going for land grab. The Afterpay leaders seem to be marketing geniuses though! Their growth may slow a bit (I think this should be confined to the USA), but they're definitely a very appealing company and have great interaction with their consumer base. You don't have to spend much effort searching the socials to work that out.
Any competitor should be taken seriously. I agree to keep your eye on them, but there is definitely room for more than one big player in the BNPL space and APT look to be wrapping their tentacles in a lot of other geographies too! Hoping they execute similar growth trajectories in the future to the AUS / NZ / USA markets.
