This comes about 3 months after some fraudster in London had a ball on my credit card....about $7000 worth of fun. Bank footed the bill, but you have to wonder how these guys do this stuff.
My advice is to be careful selling or buying things online. This person told me she would pay through Paypal and then started sending me bogus emails supposedly from Paypal saying that the money was in my account but included a shipping fee which I needed to pay on to 'the shipper' before Paypal could release my share of the payment.
Seems obvious now, but it's so easy to trust at times, in preference to thinking negatively. We all need to be careful.
I repeat, this was nothing untoward by Paypal, but by people pretending to be from Paypal.
