Yeh we did good and the camaraderie on this board has made it even better.
80% vaccination rates unfortunately haven't moved Singapore much past lockdown. They are ultra cautious and very restrictive. It's like being on prison island. WRT foreigners, no-one can leave for fear of never returning. It has tested the social compact in terms of civil liberties as well as inter-ethnic harmony.
Singapore has been able to fund a virtual lockdown for so long thanks to its monster reserves it has built up over 50 years.
Unfortunately Singapore and Asia now feels as though it is being left behind by Europe and America. It doesn't feel like it's the future the way it did before covid.
