ATH has not told any of the ATH434 development deals it has made with other science laboratories in the world. So it is a corresponding possibility that it has also done a deal about the commercialization project of PBT2. The best option for that IMO would be Uniquest. it has the skills, the money, the expertise, etc needed. Both Uniquest and ATH are on the same side, they both benefit from a good deal.

But we do not know if Uniquest is negotiating for ATH. To me, it is self-clear, but I may have it wrong. Rebecca Wilson is an outsider, she may know, but she cannot tell. These agreements are secret as is the original license agreement between ATH and Uniquest. We have been informed that the money needed for PBT2 comes from new resources, not from the ATH434 development budget. This was told us when the agreement with UQ was told us. So this new sponsor of PBT2 development could be UQ or Uniquest. How would ATH know so sure that it will get money from elsewhere? ATH could not have any negotiations with the "Fund", nor with any big pharma when signing the original license deal with UQ. But Uniquest has the money and the interest.

But we can only speculate. The big publication activity of microbiologists in UQ supports a good role for them and it looks to me that patient studies are in planning at the moment. Animal studies have mostly been done, but not all published, yet. This otitis study could be one of the first human studies.

Sounds like your putting the cart before the horse. Wouldn’t it make sense then for Alterity to grant UniQuest a license to its PBT2 and other zinc ionophore technology and let them develop and commercialise therapies that re-sensitise bacteria to antibiotics?
