skint, I wrote Prana today and asked one. They should in fact explain how the "mitochondrion" hypothesis has changed almost everything. Think about how easy it is now to explain :
- cognition improvements in AD and HD, sudden improvement of energy supply !
- big biochemical changes seen in animal experiments ( Adlard et al 2014), there had to be a general factor which then improved metabolism and synthesis of needed proteins.
- quick disappearance of amyloid in CSF when the cells have energy to pump amyloid away (Euro study), AD is an accumulation disease (no energy to pump amyloid away).
- etc.
