PBX to WYX where did shares end up?

I Bought some PBX shares several years ago and wasn't really following them or the story since then but when filling in my tax return today is shows I sold some WYX shares on 3/8/22, I didn't sell anything (and I never even bought WYZ..?) but having does a quick google it appears this must be a changeover of my old PBX shares.
Quetstions:
1. can anyone explain what happened to the share around that date that caused a forced sell that I wasn't aware of
2. I cant see the funds anywhere. They didn't arrive in the mail as a cheque, they didn't arrive as a payment to my bank.?
note - they are definitely not showing in my portfolio anymore
